NEVER GIVE UP

1 Samuel 30: 1-31

As David had been marching north with armies of Achish, the Amalekite raided Ziklag and took the  women and the children captive. When David returned, he found only the smouldering remains of His city. David refused to give up, but showed his great insight into character of God. David went to God for comfort when everything and everyone was against him. David did not give up. David prayed for deliverance but at the same time knew that his times are in God’s hand. Uncertainty in life can bring much distress and discouragement. It is when life is most chaotic and full of trouble that we most need hope and assurance from God.         

David said in Psalm forty-two,

“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted in me? Hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance” (Psalm 42:5).

Do not be overwhelmed by the troubles you are going through. Be like David! Keep everything in perspective. Always keep your emotions under control. You should know if you are becoming depressed or are losing hope. You should remind yourself that there is no reason to despair, because God is still on His throne! God is sovereign and omnipotent. Just trust in Him as David did. He is in control of your life, and He will not abandon you. He will cause you to triumph through Christ! Brethren, in order to succeed one must have a desire and belief that he or she can do it. Do not let your circumstances make you, you need to make them. David exercised courage after strengthened himself in the Lord. He went after the Amalekite and successfully recovered all that were taken from him. Defeat of today, is not the final, you can always begin again.

Whatever you are going through, note there is a way; and Christ will make a way for you. Give Him a Chance to Change Your Life.

LOVE CONNECTION

Luke 10:23 – 37, Matt 19:26

INTRODUCTION:

LOVE is “a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.”Love is a mystery and it is only God that laid the foundation (John 3:16).  Any life that is void of Love is a lost life.  Many people have ended up wasted in diverse conditions (like depression, prostitution, drug addiction, killing etc), just because someone failed to play the role of love at the right time.  Some are going through the untold pain and agony of terminal sicknesses (like cancer, heart or lungs complications), extreme poverty (due global economic crisis), bereavement and many more challenges of life.  Most of these people are human beings like you and I, whom Jesus has shed His precious Blood to pay for the redemption of their souls.  Yet, they have been abandoned and left to waste away, just because there is no Love Connection between us and them.

ACTION POINTS

  • As the Lord has inspired some people to take the bold step in faith and form this new divinely ordained group called The Sisters Keepers, then we need to rise up to the Challenge and allow the broken cord of Love Connection to be repaired and restored. The fire of Love Connection needs to be rekindled again.  We all have a role to play in this great Vision.
  • For you to have true love, you must have burden (Gal 6:2; 1 Cor 13:13) Many of us never care to have the burden for people when they need us to be there for them. Especially when we consider such people as not members of our local church assembly or members of our immediately household/family.  With the new move of Love Connection under the canopy of Sisters Keepers, receiving burden for other people’s problems is a must.
  • True Love Connection Requires Sacrifice (John 3:16, Rom 8:32) Many of us are not willing to make any sacrifice for the purpose of rescuing a perishing soul or someone who is drowning in the ocean of battles of their lives. There are some people out there who are struggling daily with satanic opposition and challenges (some are life-threatening).  Their hearts keep yelling for help, but nobody to come to the rescue. Nobody cares to sacrifice their time, money or material resources for such people. God had just one Son, yet He gave Him up to die for us. Let us embrace the Vision of Sisters Keepers and have a change of mind and attitude.  Now is the TIME.
  • Failure to show God’s kind of Love, means you do not even know God (I John 4:7 – 12) No matter how long you may have been born again or being in the service of the Ministry, if the true God’s kind of love is missing in your life (especially in your relationship to others), let it be known to you today that you DO NOT even know God. The Vision of the Sisters Keepers is all about displaying God’s kind of love to others, selflessly. You cannot afford to be left out of this great assignment.
  • Many Christians Are Just Too Busy Doing Nothing (Luke 10: 38 42) Many Christians are full of activities and they are always so occupied and too busy in the House of God, but unfortunately, with nothing to show for it.  Martha was in just the same situation.  Most of us abandon the essentials and choose to go after the inessentials in the Ministry.  Love is an essential command of God and so should be taken with seriousness.  Sisters Keepers’ vision is all about this.  We must do our best to support and encourage the vision. No commitment is too little.
